[1/5] Villains — Jareth, The Goblin King | Labyrinth (1986)
"Everything that you wanted I have done. You asked that the child be taken. I took him. You cowered before me, I was frightening. I have reordered time. I have turned the world upside down, and I have done it all for you! I am exhausted from living up to your expectations of me. Isn’t that generous?"
#how did you realize the power imbalance between men and young girls is really wonderfully portrayed by a#visual metaphor where the man is a magical king #how did you know to show that imbalance being popped like the ridiculous bubble it was by a young girl simply realizing her own autonomy #ahahhahaha this movie is perfect fuck my life #it’s perfect don’t look at me #it’s perfect (corseque)
